Benefits of Mediation

Save on costly legal fees

In a collaborative divorce, our skilled advanced family mediators partner with both parties to reach a settlement agreement that serves both interests and can be submitted to the court. We make sure to address every necessary step in the process. Our guidance helps you navigate the journey of collaboration, focusing on what is most conducive to your family's unique needs—beyond the confines of the court system. There is no need for attorneys or expensive litigation to finalize a divorce. While we do not provide legal advice, we recommend consulting with an advising attorney.

Ensure you've covered everything

In a collaborative divorce, both partners have the opportunity to voice their needs and desires concerning child custody, visitation, asset and property distribution, alimony, and more. Each spouse can work together to develop a settlement agreement that reflects their specific circumstances. Have you thought about post-divorce arrangements and blended families? We’re here to assist you. Divorce is an intimate journey, and individuals often find themselves making more informed decisions about their children and family dynamics than through an impartial court process.

Memorandum of agreement

Upon the completion of the mediation sessions, your mediator will prepare a binding mediation agreement or memorandum of agreement for both parties to review and sign. This agreement can be submitted to the court as evidence that both parties have reached a consensus on all pertinent matters, thereby avoiding the need for detached court intervention in your case. It is important to note that all discussions held during the mediation sessions are entirely confidential and cannot be disclosed.

Workplace and civil mediation

Sopia mediators are not only highly skilled and trained advanced family mediators, but they also manage workplace and corporate conflicts, issues related to senior living and care, as well as civil matters. We have facilitated discussions that enable parties to reach amicable resolutions without incurring costly and time-consuming legal fees or court involvement.
